Mazda cars suck!
We bought our 2012 Mazda in 2012. Within the first year the thermostat broke..it was repaired under warranty..
then it started happening.. First the right side window motor broke, we fixed that, then the passenger visor broke.. we fixed that, then the driver’s side window broke., we fixed that, then the passenger side door *** fell off, that was fixed, next the fuse went out in the lighter, replaced that.. now then driver’s side window stopped working.
I took the car in about a month ago and guess where I am now?! Back at the dealership to fix that same window! Most of these repairs came out of our pocket. I complained to the dealership about all of the repairs needed, they told me to call the Mazda corporation.
I did just that.. I also told them I would NEVER EVER get a Mazda ever again.. and guess what they did?? They offered me a discount on another Mazda!
They refused to do anything else for me even after calling numerous times to express my concerns. I swear I will NEVER purchase another Mazda and make sure that anyone I care about never does either.
Sooo disappointed. Now all I can do is wait and see how much more I will have to dump into this car get again!

Mazda sucks
I purchased my 2015 mazda in April of last year from an official dealership and the vehicle is still under the 1 year warranty period.
I have been having 3 technical issues from the start.
These are:
1. The ac seems to be underperforming, when the cold weather hits it takes me on average 20 minutes to defog the car.
2. The passanger side ac is performing around 1oC lower than the drivers side
3. The head up display seems to be having issues where it often does not open, this is very random and I cannot consistently replicate the issue.
The biggest problem though is that the dealership where I bought the car are being extremely desmissive and I keep getting told that if I wanted a perfect car I should buy a new car not a second hand vehicle.
I guess because I am a woman I cannot possibly understand how cars work and am being precious about these things.
I was hopping this could be resolved with the dealership but it looks like my only solution was to contact Mazda Ireland directly.
I got a reply the customer service agent called me and told me that the head of the mechanic department was not happy that I contacted mazda Ireland and they have done everything they could for me. I am now left with the choice of getting and independant assessment as the official mazda representation in Ireland are washing their hands from the issue and my cars issues remain.
So the warranty is limited to what the technicians can or will diagnose.
I guess with mazda second hand car means you get second rate customer service...

Sorry, but you were out of warranty. The terms are clearly indicated and there must be cutoff at some point.
Brake wear (note the spelling, b-r-a-k-e) at nearly 40,000 miles is not the least bit unusual and should be expected. You're too young to remember back in the day when cars would self destruct around 50,000 miles (it was called planned obsolescence and is company policy - they sell NEW cars, they don't want you to keep it forever, they'd go out of business).
As upset as you are (I've been livid over car issues in the past as well, over 50 years of driving) but you really don't have much of a case once you cross that end of warranty line. As a side note , GM has repaired several of my post-warranty issues gratis ; they maintain a fund for "grey issues" and "silent warranties".
